Weekend Wishlist

1: H&M | 2: ASOS | 3: Next | 4: H&M | 5: H&M | 6: Next | 7: H&M | 8: Next | 9: & Other Stories | 10: ASOS | 11: H&M | 12: H&M
13: H&M | 14: H&M | 15: H&M | 16: Monki | 17: Mango | 18: Mango | 19: & Other Stories | 20: Topshop

So as the warmer weather will hopefully continue, I've picked out some of my favourite pieces for fashion and the home. Key trends I am following are warm browns and reds, khakis and mustards, and the ever fashionable black and white. Introducing textures with suede, leather and chiffon in fashion and mixing up a variety of metals in the home for the perfect update for the new season. Also add accents of vibrant colours to the house to brighten the mood, whether it be tassels on a rug or a fruit bowl. To change up the monochrome trend, pair different directions and thicknesses of stripes together, simple but stylish! I am also loving lace up details, whether it be on clothes or shoes as it can edge up an otherwise girly or classic piece. And the final touch to perfect Spring/Summer style is a fresh scent and nude nail, easy and classic.

Day Five: Nica bag styling

Bag: Nica* | Jacket: Primark | Shirt: H&M | Trousers: Miss Selfridge* | Shoes: Next | Hat: Missguided

And my final Nica handbag outfit, and possibly my favourite. It is super casual and comfy and perfect for everyday. I'm wearing the jeans I chose at the Miss Selfridge denim breakfast and I have to say they're quickly becoming my staple jean as they're stretchy and fitted and a great Spring colour. A simple blue shirt completes any outfit and this one was a bargain from H&M at £14.99! I love how hats look on other people but I struggle to pull it off myself, but I braved it this day and I really like how it looks- a great alternative to sunglasses. And another favourite are my lace up flats. A huge trend for Spring/Summer. I bought these from Next back in February and have been wearing them A LOT. They dress up a plain outfit and are so easy to style. At £45 they're not the cheapest I've seen, but they are real leather and pretty comfy.. however, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative I've seen some in Primark, New Look and ASOS! I hope you have enjoyed my five way styling of the Nica bag, and I might have inspired you in some way!

Let me know which look has been your favourite!

Day four: Nica bag styling

Bag: Nica* | Dress: Miss Selfridge* | Jacket: Miss Selfridge* | Shoes: Just Fab

As part of the Miss Selfridge Denim Breakfast I attended at the beginning of April, I was able to choose two pieces to style with a pair of their new jeans collection. I opted for this denim shirt dress which works with or without jeans and is fulfilling my needs for 70s shirts and D ring belts. Alongside the dress, I bough this flowy jacket, perfect for a casual day out or a formal evening look. It is the ideal weight for Spring and Summer, giving you the extra warmth you might need without having to wear a coat. And finally.. I've got myself a pair of mules, and yes they are as comfy as everyone says they are! I spotted a dusty pink pair in Topshop recently that went straight onto my wishlist. Again, the bag works perfectly styled with this outfit as it picks out the black in the shoes and remains ideal for Spring with its floral print.

Have you got your hands on any mules?

Day three: Nica bag styling

Bag: Nica* | Jumper: M&S | Shorts: H&M | Shoes: H&M

Day three, and I still can't get enough of how easy this bag is to style. It just works. With everything! A new favourite for Summer are these faux suede shorts, only £7.99 and amazingly comfy. I almost want to buy a second pair just to wear to bed.. I can definitely see them becoming a staple. Pair with a loose, flowy shirt and pumps, or a casual jumper and simple trainers. Hopefully the weather stays nice long enough to make good use of the shorts, if not, they were so cheap it doesn't matter.

Have you found any great bargains for Summer yet?

Day two: Nica bag styling

Bag: Nica* | Waistcoat: Missguided | Top: Missguided | Trousers: Missguided | Shoes: Primark | Belt: Primark

Today's outfit has a tailored focus, with smart cropped trousers, a simple white bandeau and a monochrome sleeveless jacket. Wearing different tones of the same colour in this style is a great way to look put together without having to wear bright or patterned pieces. The Nica bag is ideal to hold as a clutch, wear across the body or just hang on the shoulder and compliments the sharp edges of the outfit.

P.S can you tell my heels are sinking into the grass?! Note to self, don't wear court shoes on wet soil!
