Jumpsuit: Rare London* | Coat: ASOS | Shoes: ASOS | Bag: Whistles

Witness now probably the first time I've worn a wide leg trouser since the days when baggy white linen trousers were a 'thing'. Looking through Rare London's new collection, I thought I would opt for a more daring choice and stray from my comfort zone. Like most girls, I feel safe in my skinny jeans and jumper but as the 70s trend becomes more and more important I felt the need to try a wider, slightly flared trouser. The jumpsuit is fitted and tailored on top, pulling you in at the waist and gliding over the hips into a loose trouser. It's not for the faint hearted, revealing a significant amount of chest (I wore a lace bralet as I can't really show any more chest without looking like trash) but it is the back that is the showstopper. It features cross over straps and a low back, a detail which makes it all the more interesting. Being 5'3, I can't wear a jumpsuit without heels, so out came the platforms from the depths of my wardrobe to emphasise the 70s vibe. A red lip compliments an all black outfit and makes it date night appropriate but pair with a nude lip and some trainers for a more laid-back everyday vibe.
