Cosying up

Coat: Uniqlo | Jumper: M&S (similar here) | Jeans: ASOS | Shoes: Zara | Bag: ASOS (similar here)

After an unplanned blogging break, I'm back with a series of posts of my go to pieces this season. Cosying up in my Grandad's favourite jumper (and now mine), teamed with some ripped girlfriend jeans is a regular occurrence in my uni wardrobe. The shoes are unfortunately not so regular and are going to take a lot of wearing in to become comfortable. However, I loved the proportions of the baggy jeans and heeled shoes, paired with a slouchy jumper and simple coat. You can't go wrong with this selection!

Easy like a sunday morning

Top: Primark | Waistcoat: Marks & Spencer (similar) | Jeans: Topshop | Boots: Matalan* | Bag: Jessica Buurman

What better way to enjoy Autumn than a stroll through the local park on a beautiful Sunday morning?  Dressed for ultimate comfort, I'm wearing soft jersey, a wool mix knit and stretchy jeans. A pair of knee high boots are a great wellington boot alternative for walking and a small cross body bag is the ideal compact accessory. And, it's all kept simple in monochromatic tones of grey and black- you can't go wrong! Head over to M&S for some of the best knitwear at the mo and to Matalan for on budget boots!

NYFW: I hope you like orange

KEY TRENDS:
Colours
ORANGE X MUTED NEUTRALS!
In case you hadn't already noticed, orange is set to be a huge trend come Spring next year, and rightly so. It's time we injected some vibrancy into our SS16 wardrobe alongside those neutral basics. Almost every single show in New York this season has had a pop of orange appear somewhere, whether it be a head to toe suit, a long knitted dress or silky trousers.

Silhouettes
LONG, FLOWING, LOOSE!
Every girls' dream. Ultimate comfort is paramount for SS16 with relaxed silky blouses, wrap up midi skirts and satin wide leg trousers. Ideal for workwear and breathability come your holiday next Summer, this is a trend I am ready for!

Fabrics
SILK, SUEDE, SEQUINS!
For everyday glamour, look to Tibi. Sequinned shorts, jumpsuits, you name it, they've done it. Silk lays alongside this, ensuring maximum luxury and comfort. Designers juxtapose shining silk with matte suede and add richness to their outfits.

Transitioning

Jumper dress: Tibi | Trainers: Zara | Earrings: Finery London | Hoops: Whistles | Cologne: Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay | Ring: Missoma London X Lucy Williams | Shirt: ASOS | Flatforms: Whistles | Sandals: Finery London | Boots: Whistles

When it comes to this time of year, I find myself giving up hope for the chance of warm weather and begin preparing for the colder months ahead. Great ways to transition into Autumn include jumper dresses and boots. Every Winter season we all search for the perfect boot and every Winter Whistles deliver... if you can afford it! Another transitioning alternative is to wear jeans and a shirt with sandals. Whistles and Finery are offering up plenty of amazing options but these white cork platforms have been on my wishlist ever since I saw them appear in New In online whilst these Finery sandals introduce a rich brown tone made for Autumn. Im currently on the hunt for some new earrings to bring into my accessories collection and a pair of classic silver hoops are timeless whilst mismatched earrings are the perfect way to edge up your look. Finally, who doesn't love to change up their scent for the new season and where better to look than Jo Malone? Blackberry and Bay is my favourite! How do you plan to freshen up your style next season?

LBD update

Dress: Whistles | Shoes: ASOS | Bag: Forever 21 | Necklace: H&M | Jacket: Miss Selfridge

PHOTOS BY REES THOMPSON

We all need a Little Black Dress, whether it be long/short, tight/loose.. it is a wardrobe staple. After browsing the Whistles sale, I found this black layered cami dress which was soon to be an essential. Previously, I've always gone for the standard short, tight black dress and having tried this on I felt it was more appropriate for day to dress down with some white trainers and still classy and amazing quality for a night out with some heels. And who can resist anything Whistles really?! Loose and free fitting, it is ideal for any dates where you might be eating a little more than you should, and effortlessly flattering! I paired it here with tan platforms to introduce a 70s vibe and simple accessories to avoid an overwhelming number of elements. It's so easy to style, and something that'll never go out of fashion- an ideal item to keep in your wardrobe for those days you just have nothing to wear.

Bedroom interiors with H&M

All homeware H&M

I don't know about anyone else, but I get easily bored of the same old bedding, cushions and blankets and I'm currently hoping to give my bedroom a bit of a spruce up and change things around. I need look no further than H&M. Their home collection is extensive and has a little something for everything. Having had a fairly neutral interior for the last few years I fancy a bit of vibrant colour and richness and these teals and yellow golds are the ideal accessories to warm up the greys. Keeping walls and large furnishings white means that you can regularly update the space with different colour schemes and play around a bit without having to fully redecorate. Mixing up textures and patterns in a tri-colour scheme ensures the room won't become overcomplicated with huge numbers of colours but maintains interest. Also, a great tip is buying everything from one store as it is likely they'll have several products in the same colours, making it super easy to ensure everything matches!

What do you think of this colour scheme?

Boho Vibes

Top: Next | Jeans: Miss Selfridge | Sandals: Mango | Bracelet & Necklace: H&M

What's better to get you into a summery mood than a floaty blouse and lace up sandals? Both purchased in the sale, I had to share my bargains after pining for them full price and spotting them in the sale, I didn't hesitate before buying. White, tan and delicate gold accessories is such a simple way of styling an outfit but so easily exudes a classic and chic vibe.

Mid Week wishlist

Sandals: ASOS | Shirt: Next | Wedges: ASOS | Phone Case: Iconemesis | Bag: Next | Jumper: Next | Coat: Next | Dress: Topshop  | Shirt: And Other Stories

After a little blogging break.. again.. sorry.. I'm back with a wishlist of some new in bits I've got my eye on. As I'm working full time and have an all black uniform I've not been able to enjoy any nice weather and I'm already thinking about coats and autumn transitional pieces. I can't help myself! Especially since I saw this Next reversible coat online- two coats for the price of one.. can't complain. I'm also all over sandals (but no open toe shoes at work *cries*) and think ASOS have got some of the best on offer at the mo! The classics with a twist are my favourite, like a blue shirt with a cross over back and midi dress with side splits, minimal but current.

IBIZA: DAY 6

Meet my new favourite bikini by Triangl! When I first saw this on Instagram I knew I had to have it and Triangle very kindly sent it over. I was even more impressed when I found that they now offer a wider range of sizes for those girls like me with big boobs and smaller underbust. As I had previously loved this shape bikini but knew the sizing wouldn't suit me I'm super happy that S++ has been introduced. The colour is gorgeous with a tan and is unlike any bikini being offered anywhere else at the mo- totally unique! The crochet detailing is also a really sweet addition and a great way to update their classic styles. The top fastens at the back with a slide in lock which is much more comfortable than a tie string back. I went for Small bottoms and Small ++ top and the sizing was perfect so I'd definitely recommend this new sizing if you have an undercuts size of around 32 and bust of D/DD.

For our last proper night in Ibiza we wanted to explore a little more of the island and opted for the sunset cruise from San Antonio. I have to be completely honest.. the cruise was awful. We typically picked the one night that was cloudy and rainy and so barely saw a slither of the Sun, the boat was absolutely packed and not quite what we were expecting. We did, however, enjoy a lovely meal in this restaurant in San Antonio and tried the 'Chanel of salt' Sal de Ibiza . I also finally found the right occasion to wear the Band of Gypsies dress I bagged in the Topshop sale, perfect boho vibes.
