OOTD: asymmetric glam

Coat: Missguided* | Shoes: Missguided* | Dress: H&M | Bag: ASOS

When Missguided's Eleanore said that I could pick two items from the site to feature on my blog it was an insanely hard choice. Evening out my desire for some stiletto knee high boots with the practicality of coats and warm jumpers, I searched the site endlessly for the perfect pieces. I have a little bit of a magpie thing going on at the mo, being drawn to anything silver and shiny so these strappy silver heels were right up there on my list. As they were the not so practical option for everyday wear, I was then guided to the coats and jackets section where I had a really hard time choosing a favourite. Having already satisfied my camel coat needs, I felt grey was the next must have Winter colour and this oversized coat would fit perfectly over my big chunky knits. So there are my two choices... a massive thank you to Missguided!

I wanted to channel a more glam look as I haven't for a while and I hadn't yet had the chance to show you all this H&M Studio asymmetric dress. I knew instantly that I needed this and got up bright and early the morning the collection was up for grabs to place my order. I loved the silver one too but I wanted to up my khaki game and the earthy colour looks beautiful on the slinky material. It's a slip dress kind of style with an asymmetric hem and a very low back (thankfully there is a tie to hold the top half around your back). Let's just say, it's a dress for the brave unless you pair it with a blazer or something to give your back some modesty. It is a sexy dress but at the same time it is really fashionable and I think it would so good styled with some converse for a more casual look. Teaming it with strappy heels made this an outfit for an evening but adding the coat A) made me much warmer B) evened out the girly side and gave it a boyish attitude which I love. And to add a pop of colour.. and texture I carried my pink pony skin bag. I LOVE IT. Not everyone does, and I get that, but it's just the perfect pop for any outfit (especially monochrome) and it keeps you on that pony skin trend we're seeing everywhere.

I hope you like my Missguided look! Let me know if you'd dare to bare in this dress?

P.S we were losing the light so that explains why the images are slightly grainy, but I kind of think it adds an old school glam effect. I like it.
