OOTD: no regrets

Jacket: Primark | Tshirt: Five Pound Tee* | Trousers: H&M | Shoes: Shoe Zone* | Bag: a gift | Sunglasses: Red Hot Sunglasses*

By the time this post is up, I'll be moved in to my uni house and will hopefully have the wifi going!
This is a super simple everyday outfit perfect for Autumn when the weather starts to get colder. I like tp keep outfits monochrome and then add colour with accessories. Here I wore leather trousers with a slogan tee and duster coat, all black and white, and styled it with a bright orange bag and leopard print skater shoes. Comfy and casual for wearing to uni or running some errands!

What do you think?

From now, my posts will be in a new and hopefully more exciting location!

OOTD: back to school

Top: Primark | Skirt: New Look | Shoes: Clarks | Bag: M&S | Scarf: Zara

I've entered this outfit into STYLE FRUITS 'Hit the Books' styling competition and I would absolutely love it if you could take the time to quickly vote for my look there! You can vote once a day, so if you really like this look I'd be super grateful for your support. Thank you so much! You will need to change your cookie settings to 'never block cookies' and this is the link if you're on your mobile.

The times come where most of us are back at school, college or university and I wanted to do a back to school inspired outfit. I took inspiration from the sixties trend at the mo and from the typical school uniform. Tartan was a massive trend last A/W and it's still set to be big this year so don't throw anything out just yet! I bought this little mini skirt in New Look last year and as someone who's not a massive fan of tights I want to wear my skirts now while we still can without tights! I teamed the mini skirt with this turtle neck jersey top which was £4 from Primark. £4! I bought it in 2 other colours as well. Its really soft and stretchy (and very warm!) and is perfect tucked in to skirts or under jumpers when the weather gets a little colder. Having not really worn this style top for approx 15 years I felt slightly strangled, but my neck adapted and by the end of the day I was so cosy I didn't want to take it off. I styled the outfit with a classic pair of loafers, a shoe set to be big this season (I can't wait to get my hands on a metallic pair). These patent beauties are from Clarks but you can literally find similar anywhere right now. Brogues would also finish it off perfectly. Going to uni, I always seem to carry too much so I'm carrying this M&S bag from last Winter, its got all the space you could need and my laptop fits in and I love the snakeskin vs leather texturing to bring something more to the accessory. Overflowing from my bag is my cosy Zara blanket scarf. If you feel a little cold, this scarf can be worn as a shawl/blanket and then you're nailing another massive A/W trend!

My main back to school tips this year are comfort and warmth. Especially if you could be battling freshers flu, you've gotta keep cosy so I recommend lots of roll neck and oversized knits teamed with textured and patterned trousers or your trusty jeans. All topped off with a duster coat or some crazy fur.

What are you wearing to school/college/uni?

OOTD: big and boxy

Jumper: Zara | Shorts: Topshop | Shoes: Missguided | Bag: Mulberry | Watch: Olivia Burton | Nail Polish: Kiko

OK, so I officially have the World's most ugliest knees but moving on from that this post is pretty much focused on yet another beautiful jumper from Zara. Having seen a few others rocking this jumper I failed to resist the temptation and bought it, breaking the bank just a little bit. But it is so worth it! The jumper is big and boxy and cosy and comfy and everything you want/need from a jumper this season. It's a gorgeous sandy, off white colour that will go with anything (super versatile) and like my other jumper is pretty long! For some reason it also looks so much better with the sleeves rolled up, which is handy at the mo while the weather is still warmer. Also note it isn't itchy which is a big plus and it comes in a gorgeous green too. I wore it with these shorts as I love the combination of knitwear and leather and the laser cut detail gave the outfit a bit more substance and interest. Finished off with simple and chic black accessories, this outfit is a fave of mine and I love its minimalistic vibe.

How are you transitioning into Autumn so far?

OOTD: oversized knit

Jumper: Zara | Shorts: She Inside | Boots: F+F | Watch: Olivia Burton | Bag: Debenhams

Apologies for the late post this week, I've been super busy with my boyfriend going back to university, getting home late from work and trying to check a few things of my long 'to do' list. But, it's hopefully worth the wait to show you all this amazing Zara knit. Now, I'm not really sure it's supposed to be worn as a dress but I thought while the weather is still nice I'd take advantage of my shortness and wear this roll neck on its own. Knowing what my nan is like, I wore a pair of shorts underneath so that when she asked where I'd left all my clothes I could show her I wasn't quite so naked! Grey is one of my fave colours for A/W and roll necks are also going to be a common item in my wardrobe so when I noticed this jumper in the King's Road Zara I had to try it on (alongside 4 other jumpers...). It fits really well and I think it'll look great with a good pair of skinny jeans or cigarette trousers. It's comfy, not itchy, and wow is it warm!! I felt myself get a bit dizzy driving in my (no air con) car, so be warned its not to be worn on a warm day. Another new buy of mine were these super cool chelsea boots. It might be slightly embarrassing to confess that they were from Tesco but I think they look more like H&M or Zara. Such a bargain for only £20! The pointed toe is super on trend for this season and the chain detail adds something a little different which really caught my eye. Be prepared for a lot of rattling as you walk though! All topped off with a silver studded little bag to glam it up a little.

Bring on the Autumn!

What do you think of the jumper/dress?

OOTD: camel x white

Coat: Next | Shirt: H&M | Jeans: River Island | Shoes: Just Fab | Rings: Primark

Another transitional outfit today, featuring the first coat addition to my AW14 wardrobe in a nice quick (less rambling post). Camel is set to be a huge colour for autumn/winter and can be seen in most high street stores already, with a particular focus on coats. I couldn't help myself and started looking at coats early, and came across this Next beauty. It is the most gorgeous colour and will go with everything and the material should keep me nice and cosy for the colder months. It has a kind of brushed/fur/felt texture which looks super sleek and smooth and the sizing options are so great starting from size 6 and offering Petite, a big bonus for little me! It fits like a glove so it's not an oversized coat but you could easily size up if that's the vibe you're looking for and the relaxed collar is really flattering and cool. While it's still sunny, I paired it with a minimalistic all white look with a staple white shirt and jeans, finishing off with white heels.

What coats have caught your eye so far?
