OOTD: tux

Blazer: eBay | Vest: Primark | Belt: Primark | Bag: Primark | Trousers: Primark
Shoes: Missguided | Hat: Missguided

First off, I'm still not sure if I'm suited for a hat or not and whether I'm brave enough to wear one out in public. I do love the more floppy hats for Summer though but they all seem to be a bit overpriced for a hat?! Although most of this outfit actually comes from Primark, I feel like it still conveys a quite smart and luxurious vibe and that's probably down to this blazer. I picked it up on eBay earlier this year as there weren't really any in the shops then and I love the oversized boyfriend style of it. It's also just a bit more unique than the average daytime blazer as it has a tuxedo style and shape. I wore it with one of my Summer coloured Primark vests (£2.50) and these old hareem pants from Primark. I think they were around £5 when I bought them and I tend to wear them more on lazy days but I feel with the belt and some heels they can be really smartened up and look quite chic. The heels are from Missguided but you can find this kind of barely there strappy sandal in most highstreet stores at the moment. I think they are quite elegant and as comfy as my platform heels are, they're just not quite as sophisticated as this kind of heel. I'm tempted now to buy a few more of this 'formal jogger' type trouser because they're so comfy for those slouchy days but paired with heels are instantly chic.

What do you think of the hat? Is anyone else loving Primark as much as I seem to be at the moment?

BANK HOLIDAY WISHLIST

Vibrant pastel wishlist
Coat: Fashion-Conscience | Bra: Monki | Crop top: Monki | Jeans: Boohoo
Sunglasses: ASOS | Bag: River Island | Shoes: NET-A-PORTER

I don't know about anybody else but the colours in these items make me excited.. bit weird but they're just pretty! I love the mixture of pretty with edginess and these items fulfil that description. The colours bring that girly feel along with the amazing fluffy feather bag from River Island and the ripped jeans and studded heels can make any outfit a little bit grungy and cool. The coat is sadly out of budget at £150 but I really love sky blue coats, they look smart, are a bit more practical than white and are good for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter (I also love brighter cobalt blue coats)! I've been eyeing up the Boohoo jeans for a while and they seem to be offering some pretty good deals and really on trend styles, I'm waiting it out for a good discount code and then I'll buy them! What can I say about the bag? WOW! I love them. River Island are definitely onto a winner with their feather bags, the white one I wanted went out of stock so quickly but this lilac one is just as perfect, just slightly less versatile, but I NEED one. Keeping with the lilac-y blue-y colours this bra from Monki is just crazy beautiful, the colours look insane together and it would look so cute underneath a sheer shirt. Sadly, these styles of bras don't tend to fit me, but maybe this one could be an exception? Please? Onto sunglasses, as much as the reflective film makes me think of boys' childhood sunglasses, I can't deny it makes a nice change from the same old brown/black tint and I may have to invest in a pair. Keeping it simple with white on white, I love this crop polo neck top, it looks cleans and fresh and won't show too much skin, a bit more modest than some of the bra lets around at the moment! To finish the outfit off, I'd die for a pair of Valentinos! I love their rock stud collection and also have my eye on the pointy pair, but for now I think I'm going to have to search for a pair of cheaper dupes, unless anyone wants to treat me??

What's on your wish list at the moment? I could make hundreds more, shops are getting it so right that I want it all...

OOTD: maxi

Cardigan: New Look | Vest: Topshop | Shorts: She Inside | Boots: Primark | Bag: Topshop

Hopefully you're all ready to enjoy this bank holiday weekend, I'm going back home from uni for Summer which is going to feel really strange. I love the detail on the shorts and they're really similar to some that Zara are selling at the moment here but for half the price. She Inside delivery takes a while but it's worth it for the money that you save and I got a few other pairs of shorts that are also comfy and decent quality. I paired them with a casual vest and my new maxi cardigan. I love this as I think it'll be a great cover up for Summer but also the perfect transitional piece through to Autumn/Winter. It also acts kind of like a kimono but a bit warmer. To add a bit of colour alongside my vest I painted my nails this cornflower blue colour from Bourjois which lasts really well. With the rain forecast but humid weather I wore boots so that I didn't risk ruining my sandals in the rain and chose these Primark buckle boots that I pretty much wore every day in Winter. Best £15 I ever spent!

Who else is wishing the Sun would stick around a bit longer?

PRIMANIA

Primark have recently been running a competition for anybody wearing at least one item of their clothing to upload their look. The prize of a £50 voucher goes to the look with the most likes/primarks each week and I would absolutely love to have a shot at winning this! I've been entering now for about a month with my various blog outfits. I would be so grateful if you would give my looks a Primark as I pretty much go in weekly and £50 would be super useful (coming from a broke student). Here is the link to my page where you can like my looks and this is the link to my current highest look of this week. Thank you so much if you do vote, or if you fancy it give it a go yourself!

OOTD: paisley

Jumper: Primark | Bag: Primark | Shoes: ASOS | Shorts: River Island
Wristband: Primark | Sunglasses: New Look

While the weather has still been bad I've not been able to blog much, but I have been posting instagram ootds if you fancy following me there (@94lauren_wilson). I managed to get these few photos just before it started raining today and although it was windy it was still pretty warm so I wore my new River Island shorts. They have a bright paisley kind of pattern that reminds me of a folk print which is going to be big this Summer! The shorts are so comfy and a bit more appropriate than some as I feel nicely covered up. Hopefully, the shorts will go with lots of things as there are so many colours within the print but for £20 I thought they seemed really good quality.

I teamed them with my Primark jumper and holographic snakeskin sandals, which I am loving! They're comfy and give me a bit of much needed height, and they go with everything. After sitting on my last pair of sunglasses I had to go buy another pair and picked up a could in New Look as they were only £5 each! I could't resist adding my cute little Primark flower band, which I bought for the Summer when I wear buns but I like it as an extra accessory.

What trends are you excited for this Summer?

OOTD: water lilies

Kimono: Beach Melba | Top: Jane Norman | Jeans: River Island | Sandals: ASOS | Watch: Olivia Burton

I couldn't wait to share this outfit with you as I am just in love with this kimono. It's from Beach Melba who handmake all of their items in London. I was able to choose from a variety of prints and the delivery was super quick! I would definitely shop with them again and you can use BEACHFRIENDS20 for 20% off! And look at  how beautiful the print I chose is, it really reminds me of a watercolour painting and the colours just look amazing on the silky fabric. I paired it with a Jane Norman mint crop top, I don't normally shop there but last year I found this for £3 and couldn't resist. Still loving my white jeans I wore them with this outfit to keep it summery and bring out the white in the kimono. I wanted to mix patterns subtly and wore my new ASOS snakeskin sandals which brought out the greens and blues in the kimono and also added a bit of interest. They are also pretty comfy and gave me a bit of height!

I'm loving the kimono trend and definitely want to invest in some more for Summer, can you recommend any?

OOTD: Roses

Playsuit: Missguided | Coat: Matalan | Shoes: ASOS | Bag: Primark

Another Missguided playsuit, and this one has been screaming BUY ME since it first arrived in their New In section. I finally caved and added it to my basket in a bit of a Missguided haul and here it is. I like it, but I don't love it. Maybe because I'm probably not tall enough to pull it off. The print itself is beautiful and has a really romantic vibe and the material feels almost silky but the actual fit on my out of proportion figure isn't really doing me any favours. It's really tight across the bust but also gapes a bit under the arm and the lace hem on the shorts comes down into a V (you know where) and it makes my legs look even shorter than they already are. I think on the right person it would look amazing but just didn't really meet my expectations on myself and for £29.99 I kind of wish I'd gone for a different one.

Anyway, I paired it for a more casual look with my ASOS sandals and pink Matalan coat (which is now in the sale for £30). If I was to wear this for a night out, I'd pair it with some white strappy heels and potentially a cream or pink blazer. Have you tried any playsuits of this shape out recently? What were they like?

P.S Sorry the photos are taken in my room again, the weather has been awful and I'm busy finishing my final uni assignment.

OOTD: kaleidoscope

Playsuit: Missguided | Shoes: Missguided | Coat: Missguided | Clutch: Primark

OK, so when I put this outfit together I didn't actually really how it is basically all from Missguided! I ordered this playsuit, not thinking much of it on the website and predicting I'd probably end up sending it back. In the end, of all the Missguided bits I ordered this was actually my favourite and is definitely a keeper. The print is beautiful and reminds me of a kaleidoscope of flowers. The colours look amazing together and it's just a different take on the floral trend. Also, it has pockets, which I love because you always need pockets! I paired it with my lilac jacket, although it doesn't really need a jacket with it and my Missguided barely there heels. As much as I love how they look, they definitely aren't as easy to walk in a my usual platform type heel. I started sinking into the mud, hence why I ended up on the drain cover haha! I then paired it with my usual black clutch which went well because of the black hems and neckline on the playsuit.

Have you had any amazing items recently that you just weren't expecting to like?
